My name is Renée White. As a professional graphic designer and illustrator who has lived in Calgary for many years, I have a deep appreciation for the surrounding mountains and rolling Alberta prairies. I subscribe to the old-school principles of integrity, hard work and a positive attitude.
After completing my BFA in Visual Communications from The Alberta College of Art and Design, I set out on my career path as a graphic designer. My proficiency in design has expanded my ability to work accurately and efficiently under tight deadlines. I have gained experience working with a range of companies including advertising agencies, restaurant and food service, corporate oil and gas as well as the television and film industry.
The projects I create through White River Studio allow me to combine my passion for printmaking with graphic design, illustration and photography. Elements from nature, vintage design, literature and history appear in my work. My studio work blends traditional linocut printmaking with digital technology and design.
Professionally, I am dedicated to listening and communicating effectively with my clients. Research, collaboration and attention to detail are all important parts of delivering successful projects. I take pride in developing projects from concept to completion. I dive into new projects with energy and enthusiasm. As a naturally curious person, I am always searching for new opportunities to expand my knowledge. The challenge of learning something new provides me with continuous motivation and enriches the projects I create.
As I continue on my creative path I look forward to continue using my wide array of skills to build show-stopping brands and finding new ways to give back to my community.
